Which Monzzaro perfumes turn, and which do not

The six Epos perfumes turn by design; Oud and Cristallo are classic top-to-base compositions, also by design.

An easy assumption, and why it's wrong

Hear enough about Dyadic Olfaction and it's tempting to assume every bottle in the house does it. That turning is simply how Monzzaro perfumes work. But it isn't. Only six of the house's ten perfumes turn. The other four were never meant to.

The six that turn

All six perfumes of La Collezione Epos carry Dyadic Olfaction: Midsea Murmur, Crown Cardinal, Black Sunset, Divine Dilemma, Rich Reverie and Rose O'Clock. Each opens as one identity and lands as another: fresh marine into woody aromatic, bright citrus into amber musk, and so on, each pair named openly on its own page. This is the mechanic Epos was built around from the start; it's what makes the collection a collection, rather than six perfumes that happen to share a shelf.

The four that don't, on purpose

La Collezione Oud (Oud of the Ocean, Oud of the Storm) and La Collezione Cristallo (Saharan Spice, Silk Blush) are composed the traditional way: a top that opens, a heart that follows, a base that settles in and stays. No turn, no second identity, no A-to-B arc. Therefore these four should never be shopped expecting the Dyadic experience, and they were never meant to deliver it. Oud of the Storm deepening from spice into leather and amber across a winter evening is exactly what a classic perfume is supposed to do; it simply isn't the same design decision as Rich Reverie turning from dark coffee into vanilla gourmand.

Why both choices are deliberate, not a gap

It would have been simple to build every Monzzaro perfume the same way. The house chose not to, because a genuinely artistic oud, or a refined crystal-cut original, doesn't need a second identity to earn its place: a well-built top-to-base composition is its own complete argument, and forcing a turn onto it for the sake of consistency would have been decoration, not design. Two collections built the traditional way, one built to travel: three honest answers to how a perfume should be composed, not one right way and two exceptions.
