How A Bright Citrus Turns Into Skin-Warm Musk

It opens sunlit and effortless, then settles into a close, skin-warm musk as the evening goes on.

Divine Dilemma

Somewhere around dessert

Somewhere around dessert, the person beside you has moved closer twice without noticing they were doing it. Then the question comes. What is that?

Here is the part worth knowing: it is no longer the citrus they are smelling. That went hours ago. What has drawn them in is the warm, soft thing it turned into while nobody was watching.

How it wears

Divine Dilemma is one of the six perfumes of La Collezione Epos, each composed with Dyadic Olfaction. Two scent identities in one formula, with a deliberate turn built between them. You wear the first identity out; you arrive in the second, without a second spray.

The opening is bright citrus, and it is generous about it. Calabrian bergamot, sweet orange and Sicilian lemon. Three citrus materials chosen to give light rather than sharpness. It reads sunlit, easy and immediately likeable, which is precisely why this is the safest perfume in the house to wear on a first date or a first wearing.

The turn is where it earns its name. Peach, melon and amber carry the citrus into fruit and then into warmth. The brightness does not fall away; it thickens.

The landing is amber musk. Ambrette, white musk and cashmere wood: soft, close, skin-warm, the kind of finish people notice at conversation distance rather than across a hall. Citrus that announces; amber musk that persuades.

Who it's for

It is for the person who wants the scent to do a little of the social work. Composed pure unisex and built to be easy to like. If you are buying blind, or buying a first Monzzaro for someone whose taste you do not know, this is the safe place to start.

Bright enough for brunch and daylight. The amber musk landing carries it comfortably into evenings and dates.

It is not for you if you want quiet. Divine Dilemma is the loudest of the sunlit perfumes here and it is meant to be noticed. For a discreet daily, Midsea Murmur is the better answer. It is not a boardroom or formal-occasion scent either; it is a touch too warm and too sweet for that room. And anyone who dislikes fruit in a perfume should walk past this one without stopping.

The house behind it

Divine Dilemma is an original Monzzaro composition, not a version of anything else. It is made in India, IFRA-compliant, paraben-free, and batch-traceable to the day it was filled. Bottles leave the house as sealed first fills and are sold direct, through no other channel.

The full pyramid, accords and ingredient list sit on the Divine Dilemma product page.

Undecided between this and its siblings? Wear all six openings and landings first with the Discovery Set: six 5ml perfumes, ₹1,949.

The house writes rarely. Be first to hear when it does.

A new perfume entering the house. An Act opening. A Library piece worth ten minutes of your evening. What we are composing now, and why. We write only when there is something worth reading, never to fill a calendar, and we never sell your address.
